Why Include PCU In Your Will?

PCU combines mercy (caring for the oppressed) and justice (confronting oppressive systems) with walking humbly with God (in the context of a genuine spirituality) - and there is no better mission than that.

How to Make Gifts to PCU:
You may give to Progressive Christians Uniting in the following ways:
Gifts in Life:
Offer a gift of Cash, securities or other assets such as real estate.
Gifts through Bequests:
Arrange for a gift through your will or living trust in a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or even part or the entire residue of your estate.
Gifts through Life Insurance:
Make a large gift at a small cost simply by giving a new or existing insurance policy designating Progressive Christians Uniting as your beneficiary.
Gifts through Retirement Plans:
You may reduce or avoid income or estate taxes on the balance in your individual retirement account (IRA, 401(k), 403(b), Keough or other plan) upon your death simply by naming Progressive Christians Uniting as a beneficiary of part or all of the remaining balance.
Gifts through Charitable Remainder Trusts:
You may receive an income for life or a period of years, reduce your taxable estate and benefit your heirs and PCU with a transfer of cash, securities or real estate to a trust.

All persons making a planned gift to PCU with a projected value of $10,000 or more will be enrolled in the Cobb-Regas Friends of Progressive Christianity--a special circle of supporters that has been named in honor of PCU’s distinguished co-founders, John B. Cobb, Jr., and George F. Regas.
As the Friends network grows, PCU will institute an annual fellowship meal. The Friends will also be identified and thanked in the souvenir program book produced in connection with PCU’s annual gala.
PCU is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
